I don’t think that Selfies are killing photography, because those taking the photographs are not...Photographers..... they are the equivalent of the pre-digital...SNAPPERS...just everyday folk using any kind of camera, picture quality, composition or post processing mean nothing to them, so in the main they can be ignored... that isn’t saying that everyone using a phone as a camera can’t be a....Photographer.... who uses it as his/her. camera to hand at the time. What the age of selfies has done is to desensitise a vast number of the general public from really.....SEEING....a Photograph or any other work of Art.... This is why, we who are....Photographers....using decent cameras, and knowing our stuff should actively attempt to get the younger generations interested. I was more than pleased the other day when a very young lass serving coffee in COSTA told me she was going to do photography at University and had a Darkroom for developing film at home. It’s all very similar, I guess to....me choosing to paint and to draw digitally on my iPad Pro....to .....using my real Watercolour paints and brushes? FUJI

That looks fine to me.... As a guide....I automatically resize all of my images for posting on forums and for emailing to 300 dpi and 2000 mp on the longest side...a faultless formulae that just works. FUJI

Those Crazy Hazy- Lazy day’s of....February.... Its NUTS! I tell you, absolute NUTS!.......our current weather I mean..... what is supposed to be one of the meanest cold/miserable winter months has reached all time record for the highest temperature at this time of year. Two things to see here.... 1: Our veranda thermometer showing circa 80 f .....that will be just a bit higher than outside...it’s protected from the breeze.....pic taken at around 15:00 this afternoon. 2: Bees.....yes....Bees, collecting pollen from our flowering Rosemary bush..... Member Paul should be having a field day, finding insects, currenty ?

C’MON you squares ....... take a listen to some REAL music......music from the heart, from the very soul......to the very heart and to the very soul....... it never dates, hardly ever fails to please..... An’ if you ain’t a tappin your feets You is dead...... I discovered this amazing Band on YouTube.....they are based in New Orleans.....I can’t get enough of them.....lots if videos available, and their web pages are very informative. ENJOY ! FUJI

Many of us fancy creating and then getting printed a Photo-Book. A couple of years ago, I downloaded and used the BLURB software to create a thirty page Landscape format A4 hardback.....it was relatively easy, beautifully produced and printed , but expensive. Recentlty I downloaded two apps to my iPad Pro ....BOOK CREATOR ...as used in schools, plus....PDF EXPERT ....both cost little. Book creation is dead easy, just choose an A4 format/ landscape/square or portrait ....And then add photos/illustrations and text as you add pages....you can add video and sounds if producing an E-Book. Once satisfied, save the book as PDF document....now...here comes the interesting bit.... ‘I discovered BookPrintingUK, in Peterborough, they can’t be faulted, customer service second to none, a printed proof within 7 working days and the finished order in around a week, or 30 days for hardbacks. I sent them my pdf....for appraisal by their IT and Printing techie’s....after a small adjustment it was accepted....my order was for three 64 page Paperbacks containing 164 of my best mono pics from the last three years . I have received the proof, the printing is breathtakingly beautiful....Three books plus a printed proof for under £90 ..... WONDERFUL. I am already creating my next book , and resurrecting another from my old pc... The pdf of the whole book can also be sent to relatives and friends as a gift.... I sent KOBIONE one, I am sure that she will vouch for the quallity produced by the BOOK CREATOR app . All of my pics were saved as JPEGS 300 dpi....2000 mp longest side. here is a sample.. FUJI

Love it..... I once designed and painted the sets for it....on three ..Revolves....which turned just like the pages of a book....the actor leaving a scene, turned on the next.... I just have Siri.....but use Apple Music and YouTube for most of my listening....the iPad Pro has four amazing speakers......I do have two high-end Bluetooth speakers too. FUJI

It is fantastic to see TIPF firing on all cylinders again, after Stirling work by our new Admin Team, good to see too, fresh very lively posts and honest responses, the latter so very important because comment and feedback create the oil which keeps the wheels turning and motivation high. Could I suggest please, that current members al, actively promote membership of TIPF to any photographer they chance upon, no matter where or when......if you are a member of a photography club, ask the hon sec if you can promote our forum in club literature. I carry contact cards with me at all times, I give these to anyone who might like an email copy of their street portrait, these to will carry a line about joining us, next time I print a set. Next, although my advanced years prevent me from wanting to travel far; my offer to meet members for a ...Coventry City Centre Shoot...still stands.....a fine day would be good, but the City has ample indoor photo venues already mentioned. Coventry is almost dead centre of England for motorways and rail so an overnight stay shouldn’t be necessary. A 10:00 - 10:30 am meet up for a quick intro and coffee, then, after directions from me to all the nearby attractions, we separate to do our chosen stuff, then meet up again for a chatty-happy lunch... Coventry subjects all within a mile radius ....Cathedrals new and old....Transport Museum....Herbert Art Gallery and Museum....Circular Market.....Architecture, modern and Ancient.... Street Photigraphy galore..... plus much more. It needn’t be too formal, or over organised... just an agreed summer date....even more than one date .....I will have the time, if I have plenty of notice....Saturday’s are obviously better than Sundays ...or, mid-week during holidays...... Just bring you camera and enthusiasm.... FUJI
