NOT QUITE A STILL LIFE !
skullfunkerry replied to FUJI's topic in Open / Abstract / Random Image Forum
It does get easier the more you do it. I’ve taken a few with people in now, and I even asked someone if she minded being in a photo once (that was very nerve wracking!). (you might be able to tell from the camera strap, but I know this guy - we were out with a camera group) -
That's a lot of snow! We used to get snow like that when I lived in Devon, would have been around the same time as this photo was taken I guess. The country would grind to a complete halt if we had snowfall like that now!

Love that, cracking shot!
-
Really nice, I love all of those - especially the last one; the light is absolutely magical!

Part of me is appalled at this... but I also remember when I worked at Queen's Hospital in Romford, how it sounded some lunchtimes when just under the general hubbub of conversation, one of the volunteers would play the piano. Mostly it was kind of nice, but occasionally he'd go very wrong, and then it was like being in a horror film

The Moon... (New Image Added...27th April).
skullfunkerry replied to JohnP's topic in Landscape and Scenic
NIce! I love the moon, I'm always out in my garden taking photos of it. I'm fairly sure I speak for most (if not all) of us here John when I say that we wouldn't mind you posting without a photo. -
There's a roundabout near me with a sculpture in the middle; I tried some shots from low level there, but there wasn't much traffic about so they didn't work brilliantly, although I did get an ambulance in one shot. It's on my list to go back and have another try.
-
Yes, if you want a decent amount of light streams.
-
Cracking shots! I tried this at a junction in Southend a year or so back. Your shots are better than mine though

Meant to say @Monkey, your dog has beautiful eyes!
-
Fantastic!
-
Really lovely. I think I've been there; is it somewhere near Warwick?
-
Very nice! Did they have any Aero 8s there?
-
She's very timid, @Monkey so she probably wouldn't go loopy: she'd come over for a sniff though. Anything that's greyhound-shaped is fine, but she won't go near any other dogs. We've got her used to dogs of a couple of my wife's friends, and we meet up with her brother for a walk from time to time, but that's about it.

My best mate is from Bradford. When we were in a band we did some gigs there. People were mostly great, and the place was fascinating: some lovely buildings, but a lot of places were spectacularly bleak. It's on my list to visit for the day with my camera, but I haven't got round to it yet.

I didn’t realise they were accommodation. What a cool place to live!

Messing around with my 100-400mm lens yesterday and caught a couple of lovely shots of my dog (although of course I know I'm biased when it comes to how beautiful she is). And the final one was with the Viltrox 13mm F/1.4

I had a wander around this place at the weekend while my wife was at a show up the road. It’s fantastic, I absolutely loved it there: I enjoyed the exhibits and the sculptures, and just the general vibe of the place was really relaxing. I’ll be going back for sure, and taking my wife with me too. These were taken with my Fuji X-T4 and a mixture of Fuji XF 35mm F/1.4 & XF 16-80mm F/4, Viltrox 13mm F/1.4 and TTArtisan 27mm F/2.8.

That’s a lovely photo. I’m so sorry for your loss John.
-
Very sorry for your loss, John. All the best to you and your family x

Cracking images! I love seeing the kites when I travel for work. I used to only see them on the M4 corridor, but as mentioned they're spreading now. Still haven't seen any here in Essex yet (although my mum has, about 30 miles north of me). I'm still waiting to see one when I have my camera and long lens... doesn't sound like it'll be too much longer before they're here too.
-
Very sorry about your wife John, that’s a hard thing to go through. Much love to you.
-
Wow, that's impressive! Nicely done
-
Nice! I think I prefer the mono version; I think it would look good with a bit of colour but almost desaturated so it's only very slightly green.

It certainly is! So big in fact that the support towers are further apart at the top than they are at the bottom, due to the curvature of the earth Lovely shot, and fantastic sky
