  1. Thanks Gareth, thanks Kobione.
  2. Just getting her own back and stalking you for a change.
  3. Can't get much closer to two extremes than that.
  4. Oh, in that case, I have images of both but I have been calling them all Common Blues. Little knowledge and all that.
  5. Nice image. What's the difference between an Azure Damselfly and the Common Blue, or are they the same thing?
  6. johntwo

    Mirid.

Like them all. All nice quality images and as records, they all do the job.
  7. Many thanks Polly. Thanks all for your comments. Now I've got to get out and use a camera. No more excuses.
  8. Thank all for your comments. Polly/Rye, usually a lot of creeping along hedgerows. You can always tell when your running out of opportunity because the ears go back and its a certainty that they know you're there. After that they have a remarkable ability to just fade into the landscape.
  9. It's nice to see the railway working again. Had it succumbed to the problems resulting from Corvid, it would have been a loss to all of us.
  10. Lovely and sharp and a classic pose. Nice shot. Must go there some time.
  11. Nice composition Denis. We have always fancied a long boat but they are just too expensive for occasional use. It's been the subject of discussion recently betwwen Sue and I. We were wondering whether there will be a need to electrify their propulsion system as cars go that way. Most use red diesel at the moment. Concluded that we would need a steam engine running on smokeless fuel.
  12. Nice captures Paul. Moths can be just as beautiful as butterflies in their own way. I like these.
  13. A bit of an evil eye on that one. They are occasional visitors to the garden so I have some top down shot but you seem to have managed a low viewpoint Rye. Long lens?
  14. The first one is priceless.
  15. Fuji, don't you find that when life gives you a kicking, that's when you are at your most creative? I can quite empathise with your own situation. Thanks for your kind comments.
  16. Just so Polly. Thanks again for your comments. I wanted to provide some explantion, but enough. We are deliberately going out locally once a week and I'm beginning to accumulate some images - sadly none of note so far.
  17. Thanks for your comments. Corvid hasn't been the problem. Polly knows part of the story. My brother had kidney problems which he was dealing with but he suddenly developed an aggressive leukemia. His kidneys were not capable of dealing with any chemo and so they just had to let him go. That and one or two other things have not made for a good year so far. I have managed to post elsewhere but only stuff that I have in the main, already posted here. It's only been in the last two to thee weeks that I have been able to get out to use a camera. However, Summer beckons.........
  18. For one reason or another it's been a pretty terrible year but things are evening out. This is a re worked image from about two years ago.
  19. Don't know whether it's a Southern Hawker but it is a beauty. Nice capture.
