  1. Nice.... all my shots of that have loads of people walking to/from the mount. That's what you get for visiting as a tourist, I guess! Great sky too!
  2. Great choice - congratulations, Strav!
  3. You've made me feel "homesick" for Cornwall again, Matt. I think #1 has the most pleasing composition.
  4. Very nice, John. The position of the head in the first one is perfect.
  5. Wow... I describe your "Four Spot Chaser" shot as superb... then I go to the next post and you have a better one! The dewdrop in the background really adds to this - excellent shot!
  6. It's my turn to choose POTW again. There were plenty to choose from this week, but I thought there was one standout image: WW2 by Lez325: Les also posted a colour version of this but it's the monochrome one that I really like. See both versions HERE.
  7. #4 for me too - I like the line of posts pointing towards the lighthouse. (It is a lighthouse isn't it?)
  8. Wow! Was this one of a burst of shots?
  9. Excellent - the colour of the feathers goes well with the reflected colours in the water too.
  10. Great shot, Lez! I like both versions - the monochrome is best though.
  11. Yes - the light really makes a difference. I agree with Tim about #2.

Two really good shots, Colin - but I'm awkward: I prefer the sky in the first one and the plane in the second!
  13. Interesting ideas, Matt. I find the rocks in the sea to be the focal point in all the shots, so my preference would be for them to be in sharp focus. I like the view through the dunes (#2) and the tracks in the sand leading to the rocks (#3) best.

A super set of shots, Paul!
  15. I had to Google it - I'd never heard of a "Wanderer" but I see they are known as "Monarchs" in the USA & Europe. I had heard of "Monarchs" but I've never seen one. Apparently we do get them in the UK but they are very rare.
  16. Why is that, Cheryl? It's a terrific photo - vagrant or not!
