The light was a little flat, so will do this again on a better day, but still quite happy with!  A few rays of light coming through the leaves and a little mist is needed I feel!

Texturally and compositionally gorgeous. The light is little flat though - I couldn't even begin to say where the sun would be if it was out.

I know, it was really overcast but I was too impatient to get the shot.  I will re-do it with better light soon.

Love this.......there is great potential for a thoughtfully processed mono version a I think?

A mono edit is definitely on the cards, but am going to wait for better light.

I can se what you mean about the light being a little flat, but I think it still works in spite of that.

 

The image has a lovely calm quality which I love - I also agree with Fooj re the potential for a mono version.

Yes, well worth doing. But it's such a lovely capture, have you thought about pushing the highlights using Levels or Curves?

I have already pushed it pretty far!  I could push it further but would rather get the lighting right in camera first.

Second attempt.  Better light but not happy with the composition this time around....3rd visit on the cards I think!
