I posted the colour version of this photo a couple of years ago, so you think it looks familiar, you're right. I reprocessed it and converted it to mono for our recent Easter photography exhibition.

There  is something about dereliction and the past  that  really lends itself to  mono photography isn't there ... maybe it's harking back to times  past and  the fact that we saw our history  in terms of black and white films and photos  mostly  that  makes it feel so appropriate ... The empty bottle absolutely makes this  image Cheryl ...was it there  in the first place ? The clouds play their part too ...

Thanks clicker. I love photographing derelict buildings as well as derelict industrial sites. The wine bottle was there and I didn’t touch a thing. Didn’t need to. It was an old farm house in the bush and the sheep had moved in.
Reminds me of the art installation I visited a couple of weeks ago. I’ll post a couple of iPhone pics in a separate post.

A great shot Cheryl, I took a bunch of photographs of an old mill in Sabden, Lancashire, the mill is now no longer there and has been replaced with new build houses.
