Taken at Irwell Vale Jan 2020, this loco is now in a museum in Fife and unlikely to be seen in steam for the foreseeable future.

Lead in lines, low-ish viewpoint, good DOF, plenty of smoke for drama - what more could you ask.  Great shot, Geoff.

Beautiful image Geoff. 

One of my favorites has recently been retired. UP 3985 a  4-6-6-4  a Alcoa challenger class locomotive.I hate to see them retired. 4014 a recently restored 4-8-8-4 "big boy" has taken it's place touring the country during the summer.I have seen 3985 but not yet seen 4014.
