Thanks Paul, yes I had a range of images varying from completed obscured to seeing a few of the numbers to no steam and smoke.

By the way The Flying Scotsman celebrates its 100th anniversary next year, it's coming to the ELR in March and the KWVR in May 2023

The Flying Scotsman is in Swanage for this week. Unfortunately we are going to Bristol.

Thanks Andy, yes I saw that on the Centenary  website page, alas it's too far a journey to make from Lancashire on such short notice, so I'll wait until it comes to the ELR and KWVR

It's around 120 miles round trip for us, and it is not a cheap to travel at signage, they seem to be expecting big numbers as it is booked tickets only even to just go in the platform. Also it is not in steam every day.

Besides I'm not a great fan of BR colours and smoke deflectors, as my first memory is seeing it in LNER green in the Hornby catalogue around 1976.
