It looks like you were blessed with interesting skies on your travels north of the border ...  though I suspect  cloudless and boring blue skies are  uncommon  in that part of the world .. I might have like the first image even more had the yacht not been plumb in the centre of the image  ... just a bit over to the left  would have made it  perfect for me . 

Are you   sure it wasn't Loch Ness ... that   shape  on the right looks a little sinister to me
