Anyway, this one was on the top of the compost bin tonight - and was photographed in total darkness. Focus was by torch, and then swapped that for the flashgun held just above the bug. Very hard to focus when you can't really see anything!

Mind you I bet the little thing would bite me...they all bite me..!

 

They don't usually bite me... but the buggers in the Amazon Basin nearly made me anemic, I sprayed myself with Deet and they loved that... :rofl:

these things make me wonder how you do these things? i mean do you train your insects to pose? lol

Paul spends hours training his insects firstly so he can take great photos, secondly to fly off and bite Annie
