Well guys you lot have really out done yourselves this week, i could have done a count down of 10 to 1 with great pictures that you have all posted. Ive certainly got a headache from banging my head on the wall trying to choose !  :wallbash:

before i announce the winner i just want to take a moment to give  :respect: to those of you who have posted such great bird photos , especially the rare bittern pictures and the reed warbler feeding its young all fantastic images.

Anyway ive narrowed it down in the end by thinking about what pictures i would like to have hanging on my wall and i managed to reduce it to two images that way

in second place by a very narrow margin was JemRaid with his "reddish in the afternoon" which i totally loved for its originality and unusual subject

matter, not bad as a first post in the forum Jim !

However this was just pipped at the post by Paul and his "lily the pink"  the stunning colour and detail and the almost 3D effect of this is totally stunning and no matter how many times ive gone back to it i dont get bored of looking at it.

So congratulations Paul well done on a fantastic image !
