Found these three items after our last heavy rain. The were quite deep in the ground, but at the edge of a crevice cut into the ground by the water heading for our dam, along the dam wall:

The two objects on the right are metallic - guessing that they are broken bits off a plough used many years ago. The one on the left is rock, but nothing like we have found here before, and the colour layers were fantastic!

 

PS: was going to put this in 'Still Life' but didn't think it was 'arty' enough.

Thanks all. Denis the metallic bits may be something left over from the gold era, or from the pioneer farming days. We have found quite a few old plough shares on the block, but never anything this old.

 

David the coloured layers must 'tell a story', but we don't know what, so yes, Paul, all of them are a mystery!!
