Well captured images, I would like to get out and be doing the same but I'm into a busy spell at home and besides this heat doesn't agree with me. It makes my bunions even more painful.

Is that mystery bug anything to do earwigs Rye?

I think it's just a part of a bug, earwigs and Devils Coach Horses are the only things I can think of that have pincer type things at the end of their bodies.

I might be wrong Geoff (I often am) but I wonder if it's a barkfly juvenile?

I've no idea Paul, someone suggested it was a Hoverfly which I don't think it is, the mystery thing was only 4-5mm long, infact I thought it might be a seed when I first saw it, it wasn't until I got home and viewed on a big screen and saw the pincer things. Female earwigs do have a less curved whatever they call those pincer things.... This is why I like macro photography is that almost everyday day you find something and go what the flippin heck is that??????
