SILVER MACHINE

I chanced upon this beautifully maintained Harley last weekend, the proud owners allowed me free reign for photographs, including themselves................they hail from Coventry, so Nanny might see the same bike on her travels.

Converted then processed in CS6 using my usual Mono Methods to tease out every tone and to enhance textures:

Best viewed LARGE....Click on Pics:

As always, Fooj, the processing has me admiring your skills. Excellent!

The bike reminds me of my dark and dirty days with the Chorley chapter of Hell's Hedgehogs - and the title reminds me of a 70s rock band called Hawkwind.

And both of the above remind me of just how old I'm getting.

Thanks all........

The processing was done in CS6 using my usual Contrast Grading method via soft brushes and flattened layers.....I was up at 05:30 to take advantage of a cool office and a sleep cleared head......love processing chrome.

Much to my better half's annoyance I occasionally wind up the old gramophone to play......Silver Machine....at full blast, even though I'm an old original Rock-n-Roller from the fifties.....hence my title which reflects, the sheer amount of beautifully kept chrome on this machine.

Korky......I can just imagine you in your ex RAF Bomber Crew leather jerkin skidding around the back to backs of Chorley on yer bike wi no mudguards.....bag o chips in one hand ......a bottle o Sasparilla in ' tother .....Yellin.....KNOCKERS!!......at old ladies ;-)

Oh the mental picture that this creates......Priceless!

There's a saying in the biker fraternity (round here anyway) "All Harleys should be blacked", meaning you should take a can of matt black paint and cover the entire bike.

Not my favourite machines but you've made a good job of the engine :yes

Very nice fooj, I do admire your processing skills, and more to the point, how you achieve it.

I have Paint .net that is like a early version of PS only free, but cant understand it for the life of me.....which probably makes investing in PS a waste of time!
