Moulting Ducks

The ducks have been moulting for a couple of weeks now and are looking really scruffy. The water and banks of their dam are littered with these feathers.

That really is a very nice study  and not what I expected Brian, when I saw the  title... beautifully lit and presented... it captures the very essence of the delicacy and fragility of a feather ... fabulous work Brian. I love it

Delicate and beautiful. bet it was a nightmare stopping it moving in the slightest of drafts or is it draughts?

Thanks Chrissy.....I'm personally not keen on American spelling, so draughts will do very nicely! But you are right, I had to turn all the fans off which made it a bit sticky, being in the 40's at the time.

The feather detail is spot on Brian and the overall colours make it a very gentle image.

I really like the hint of colour on this one.. .. I can see, however, why you are asking the question Hatter ....

To be honest, I think that's as close to B/W without being B/W

Ah but that colour  is important for me ...that hint   of a tint  just warms the image  up for me and  prevents it becoming sterile .. just  my take on it ...
