Barney the Barn Owl.

I just love barn owls ... they have a ghostly aura when you catch them at dusk . Was this a wild one Roger or was it being flown by a handler . A very nice set  ... I rather like the third one ...with the sun through that wing and a concentrated look in that eye ,

Ah ... maybe the clue is in the title ... Barney  the  barn owl ... ... so not likely an owl out in the wild ... ooops

;)

No its wild .3 of them live in an old building way out in Suffolk. kind of secret, but a few are getting to know about it, also in the building are 2 little Owls, not managed to get them yet. One Owl is ringed,  but I understand he has been there a few years , so being left alone is good, I pray no one else can find them .the name is what I call him lol.

I also love barn owls which we have in Australia also. They look the same but I don’t know if there are subtle differences. I’m surprised to see this one hunting in the day time. Beautiful photos of a beautiful bird. Well done.
