I haven't been out with the camera for a week or so, but this one I took from a local fire tower location. You may or may not be aware, but in the rural forested areas, we have fire towers located on the highest spot available. These are manned by a Fire Spotter. Then, if a Spotter sees smoke, he will report in and with triangulation from other Spotters, the Fire Authorities can pinpoint a fire quite quickly. This Photoshopped image was taken the night the setting sun coincided with the rising moon.

Lovely to see you back again Brian ... I like the fact that the Moon is taking precedence and the sun is sloping off to bed ...exiting stage left .. You've cleverly  kept the balance with the trees silhouetted on the right ... Top job ...

This begs the question were the clouds like that or is this a longish exposure

Not that I care but someone is thinking " howd he do that then "

Thanks, Fuzzy. In answer to your question, yes the clouds were a bit like that. I've added the original and my PhotoShop (Camera Raw) adjustments. On reflection, a better photographer could probably achieved this in camera. But I enjoy fiddling with my PhotoShop.
