Thanks  Den. It does look odd but that patio area at the bottom of the steps is actally a triangle widening from the path on the left .  My vantage point to take the photo was a road  whose level was about top of the balcony so I was looking down onto the canal . The verticals are correct  but because  the height I was above the ground level  of the canal there is an optical illusion and I should have thought about that .. If I made the edge of the water horizontal it would throw the verticals out ..  ... The horrors of looking up or looking down when it comes to perspectives  doh ...   You are right though ... It does make it look as if water is falling down to the left ...lol

I'm never one to argue with a women, but Lightroom has a handy grid in the rotate function.:whistle:

I can do that by  tiny increments on photoshop  too Colin ...  And I could change the perspective too with the appropriate tool ...     Off to the dentist now ... But will do that and see when I come back ...  But you can do it too if you want .. ;)   Anyway  I'm  sure  Yvonne  gave you permission  to ....  :vava: ouch ;)
