After a really intensive learning session with my ex-pro shooting pal, I tried Street Photography with my Vintage 2.8-35 mm lens wide open, set to Zone Focus for a more dramatic depth of field

This shot is the only one I got spot on.

This heavily tattooed guy was pacing up and down the main shopping street in a very purposeful manner....

Anyone hazard a guess what he might have been up to??

Thank you for your comment and question.....

1: I don't know what he was up to......but who walks purposefully about a small town like ours, tattooed all over, wearing a vest and identity tags?  

I just thought it would be a bit of fun if  TIPF members just guessed.

 

2: ZONE FOCUSSING.....is used when, like me, you use a Vintage Film Lens with no AUTO  FOCUS.......you can faff about winding the focus ring back and forth but that takes time and some skill to get spot on.

With zone focussing you use the scales painted on the old lenses to work out then, dial in, a.....ZONE OF FOCUS......it guarantees sharp shots of anything within that chosen zone.....it took me ages to get it right, now it is dead easy......so what you get is a high speed point and shoot, making you very fast on the draw.

It's driving me mad wondering what his id tag is for ... It looks like it stamped , "real "  across it .  Was he waiting to meet someone ?...Was there an exhibition locally of live tattoos ?  Had he just come back from a football match in Spain  ( Real Madrid .) :lol:  One  thing is for sure .... He was not trying  to look inconspicuous Fooj ;)

 Brave  capture too ... Though I'm sure he's only looks scary ....
