Hello

A bit long in the tooth to be starting on this photography lark, but there you are

Got myself a Nikon D3300. My Dad (who is a very old man and a photography nut) gave me his Nikon 35mm f1.8 prime lens, and I've been trying it out these last few days

Joined flickr and have uploaded some photos to my page

Why would we laugh ?

Try focusing on the second button bottom Left Your lens should be good for low light 
But remember the smaller the aperture number the less is in focus

Yeah, I'm just getting to grips with all that. It's a steep learning curve, that's for sure!
