A wonderful capture, Paul. I just love the whole pose - what a shy-be he was :lol:

Totally agree with Korky - need t o look at in full size.

We used to go to Chester Zoo quite often in my youth - the  nearest proper zoo to where I grew up.

I remember going on a school trip as well - the Biology teacher made us spend lots of time viewing the snakes!

What a lovely change...unexpected  too  seeing  something so large in front of your lens Paul. Really nice study .. beautiful composition with such an engaging pose despite looking so  coy ..It certainly deserves a like .. ..and then some ...:yes

Everything has been said already. I think the mono works superbly for this shot, Paul. Especially in the fur and skin textures. Just lovely.
