TEA and CAKE WITH FUJI

I had to wait very patiently to capture this moment.....the three mature ladies, you have seen in a previous post, two were at school with me, so I wasn't intruding on strangers.

I had to wait, because the lady on the right had her back to me serving tea, I pressed the shutter as soon as she sat down.......I did realise there would be lots of reflections, but I think they add to the shot.

A second later I tapped the cafe window, to capture them all smiling, but that is for them:

The Cafe is ...The Rocking Horse.......It featured strongly in an episode of Mrs Boquet, when they went on the QE2.

At least you can see me in action as a sneaky Street Photographer....wide angle lens and in silent mode:

It very is, you've got all sorts of things going on, there's light from the cafe interior in the reflected outside sky which look like it;s inside, you've goy Fuji in the reflections alomg with some fo the pavement outside and even he people inside the cafe look like they're super-imposed.

Of all your street photography that I've seen this is the most unusual and striking, It really does take a while to look at everything that's going on.

Note my very casual technique with the camera, hand held.......with it in Silent Mode, hardly anyone notices me shooting, from chest or waist height.....the Wide Angle attachment has been a revelation.

Before I could see no rhyme or reason for them.....but now Im loth to remove it.

Had you had a few when your created this...............

Cheeky beggar!.........there is a reflection over part of my mouth which gives me that evil looking grin.....

I only have a drink occassionaly with a meal......and definitely not during a morning;-))

It is among the favourites in my own personal list of pics taken now.

I think you've hit the nail squarely on the head when you say it's a Marmite study, Fooj.

It certainly is busy, but that adds to the interest. It's not brilliantly processed, but that adds to the atmosphere. To be honest, I just can't make up my mind and that adds to the confusion.
