The fire brigade put out the chip pan fire and apart from a sooty ceiling all was well. Phil made a cup of tea and sat pondering the biscuit crisis, after a few minutes "I know" he thought, "I will start a biscuit factory that only makes custard creams" but as he was thinking what a great idea there was a loud knocking on the front door.....

Yes, that had to be it - the cookbook! As Phil stood browsing Amazon on his iPhone, he looked up and his tiny heart sank. A figure was approaching from the shadows, it was none other than his old adversary Inspector Dick Twiddler, the most feared police officer in..........

sat on the steps to Mr Patel's shop and began to explain the enormity of the biscuit crisis to Dick Twiddler. Twiddler listened intently, thought for a few moments and then spoke slowly and calmly. "I can see yer a bit troubled, young Phil, them there custard creams have got you in a right ol' tizz of a wozz. But what if we sent for............

pointed at  the lone packet of Custard Creams on the  shelf. .... He should have  known better really because his screams woke up Mr Patel who opened the shop door   and the resultant flood of light revealed  Phil's meagre attire ( remember ... y fronts and pink pumps !)   to the officer who was so shocked that he ...
