  1. Roast Beef and a bowl of water please! (image taken 8.11.15)
  2. I have an Epson R2000, love it, perfect printing, but it does help to download the paper profile and install them in LR and PS. Epson in Australia will often have great cashback deals .
  3. nice collection Jeff, seems that photography as a hobby has as many loners as socialites. Might make for an interesting topic of discussion. Oh and a birthday next month, ... that's a nice round number
  4. I actually have an image this week, but I'm waiting to get home and use a familiar computer to process and upload.
  5. still struggling to get an image, on the way home now but still have very limited Wifi .Will be on the beach early tomorrow - fingers crossed that the shine will shine.
  6. OK, an interesting topic. Have been off line with poor wifi so nice to visit and see what the current challenge is. I'm at the annual Australian Photographic Society convention (starts tomorrow) and we have a couple of workshops coming so will keep this topic in mind. Tomorrow's workshop is on street photography so might be able to clinch something.
  7. trained all the local cicadas to hum romantic tunes about love under the Southern Cross'. Yes indeed I loved him until...... (P.S. yes you are all very sick puppies, or enjoying a smoko or 2)
  8. OK, what does your better half think about your photography? Silently tolerant Actively intolerant Enthusiastically supportive Humourously mocking Awesomely gobsmacked. Share your story, and how you overcome these obstacles........... so, my story.... DH (Dear Husband) was passively supportive, patiently waiting in the car while is grovelled in the dirt for THAT shot. Then I decided to purchase a second hand camera JUST for him (a 400 D just like mine). Shortly after I 'upgraded' to a Canon 7D, and then won a 650D in a magazine competition for entering in a survey. So now he is a happy chappy, and I am actively inpatient, as he is the champion chimper and seems to take ....forever.... Having said that he is a fabulous photographer, has a great eye but suffers a little in the post processing department. Funny enough, there is very little competition between us, and he has had some fantastic results at club and at our local show.(that's when I have assisted with the post production stuff) So my advice is, purchase your DH a camera.....
  9. or just another party pooper!!! we will await story # 2, It might be about you
  10. THIS STORY HAS NOW ENDED. I have enjoyed your bizarre imaginations and now I have an insight into the people who lurk here Firstly we need to tell Phil that we really do love him and this was all just a bundle of fun. Secondly, ..... await the never ending story #2 - it might just be yours!
  11. its far to early to even think about Christmas, but when it comes closer, I actually do a lot of 'home - made'. Last year I made lots of cards and bundled them up for friends as a 'gift that keeps on giving'. I'll do that again, and maybe some foodie things, home made cream cheese, truffles that sort of thing. But again, ITS TOO EARLY
  12. I'm sorry I didn't get an entry in this week. I'm on the road with limited access to WiFi.
