Viaduct in the Woods

About 30 years ago I stumbled on this gem while taking a stroll through some previously unvisited woodland. On Saturday I finally got around to photographing it.

Well David ... I have to say there are sometimes advantages to being cautious and I know the pitfalls of being too impetuous too.... BUT thirty years!!!!! ... 

That makes me and my habit of occasional procrastination, look  positively expeditious in comparison !

 It looks like a great expanse of brickwork however ... #2  for me  as I like seeing the  brickwork  textures and colours more ... Did you take any head on to the arches, to try a symmetrical  look too .....?

Thanks, Polly you made me smile. I agree about No 2 - it's my favourite too. No, I didn't go up top, thought I would leave that for another 30 years.....can't go rushing into these things.

I'd agree about #2, the sapling there adds to the image, whereas in the others they tend towards foreground clutter. And to think 30 years ago they wouldn't have been there.

Can't beat an old viaduct catching the sun.  Love it.
