I love the shadow of the trees on the side of the hall.

Started and ended a walk from Gawthorpe a few months ago - the last mile was just about the thickest and deepest mud we've ever encountered.

Thanks David and Korky. I'd completely forgot about the clocks going back one hour on Sunday, so when I arrived it was already starting to get a little dark. I did get a nice sunset from Pendle Hill though....

I think a little more detail in the shadow for me but a very nice shot none the less Rye.  Never been there.  Is it worth a visit?

Thanks John, the grounds/gardens are worth a wander around especially you get nice clouds behind the hall. Only ever been inside the once - it's National Trust place, I forget how much it costs for the entrance but do know you can't take any photographs inside.
