Thanks very much Chrissy and Hatter ...it was a one of a pair of unusual hand made  wine glasses and decanter that I had as a gift  many years ago and I had used as a vase that day.  After washing it I noticed it cast a shadow from the sunlight through the window that also showed off its’s coloured glass parts ... so I lay it on the work surface  and photographed it with a shallow depth of field, cropping it to show mostly the shadow that it cast . .....sometimes you just get lucky with experiments ....
