Bendigo Law Courts

Brian

Recommended Posts

Went for a Night Shoot around Bendigo on Monday night with Cheryl and a few friends from our local Photo Group. Spent quite a lot of time on this lovely old Victorian street light and the frontage of the Law Courts.  I particularly like this one as with a bit of jiggling I almost got the result I was aiming for; ........a rare occurance indeed. It is a composite (not HDR) of 3 exposures of differing settings.

Lovely shot Brian. I'm curious about the shadow left of the lamp pillar though.

Could be en editing glitch, Chris. I'm looking after Deirdre's dogs (Kobione) for a few days and am using a small laptop for editing.

It’s turned out well, Brian. I like that you managed to show the court buildings with just enough light to creat interest. I assume you took several shots of the scene with different shutter speeds then merged them because the lamp post was so much brighter that everything else looked too dark. It was worth enduring the freezing cold.
