Your latest set of steam-powered pics remind me so much of those in the classic  .....Train-Spotting/Collectors .... booklets of the 1950-1970s.

Photographs like your accompanied  by columns and columns of numbers and names, plus all the other ...Nitty-Gritty....essential to all keen collectors....

I was never bitten by the.....Train-Spotting ...bug,I  did have pals who were though, they all seemed to have encyclopedic knowledge of anything and everything that ran on rails......anoraks hadn’t been invented in the 1950s.....a belted Macintosh and a school cap was the usual attire...

The nearest I got, was collecting car registration numbers for a very short time.....I learned about girls, alcohol and then the Army after that......was married aged 21..
