  1. I just had the most amazing message from one of my photography heroes a photographer called Glyn Dewis. I'm sure a lot of you have heard of him, He is a very well known photographer and an instructor for Adobe Photoshop here and in America. He is holding a big exhibition of his work about a project he has done, called the "3945 Portrait Project". This has been a total passion for Glyn, as he has gone around the country doing the most amazing portraits of WW2 veterans. This will be the showcase of the exhibition. With support from the Royal British Legion and The Royal Mint it will be held in Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum. Out of the blue he messaged me on Facebook and asked if he could send me an invitation to the event. Shocked, stunned and gobsmacked doesn't come close to say the least. I have spoken to Glyn many many times online and have seen many of his videos but I never thought he would do something like this? A no one like me being personally invited by one of my photography heroes to the launch of his exhibition in October is beyond amazing to me. I am still genuinely in shock. Chuffed to bits doesn't come close!
  2. Congratulations a superb shot BP and a very worthy winner!

Oh wow!! Thank you all very very much!!! I'm genuinely in utter shock.
  4. He certainly sounds like a real character with like you said a great sense of humour. When I lost my parents one 5 years ago and the other 2 years ago, I was given this advice. "It's remembering the good times.. His personality and keeping memories alive. " Something I personally have never forgotten. My thoughts and sincere best wishes are with you Geoff and with your family, now and especially on Friday. Craig
  5. Superb John congratulations.

  12. Hi Hatter, I'm sure that Is the same Lesley Smith who is the resident historian on TV's Most Haunted.
  13. Thank you Clicker for sorting this out for me. It's really appreciated.
  14. Wow thank you. This was a surprise for sure! To reply to sjr's valid comment, I too did sit and think hard about if this image before posting it. But I come to the conclusion that this is a semi hollowed bodied guitar and unlike a pure electric guitar this can be played acoustically without any electric amplification (which I often do). So if played in this fashion I felt that being a stringed instrument which to achieve any sound from it acoustically is purely a mechanical setup and action. The very last thing I would want to do is to not obey any rules of the competition. I would be more than happy to rescind the image.
