I have used previous versions of Capture One and it does have quite a steep learning curve especially if you are used to using Photoshop. My personal opinion is that it renders skin tones better and is a more accurate Raw processor than Lightroom. (but thats just my own opinion) However... if you tether capture you will struggle to find a faster setup than Capture one. It totally blows Photoshop Lightroom out of the water. After saying all this... I still use Photoshop and Lightroom purely because I am so used to them. But if someone has no experience in either I would certainly give Capture One a go for sure. Another thing is that Photoshop has MASSES of add-ons, actions and filters etc etc, personally I have never bought any actions as I prefer to make my own. but this is a big draw for some people. really I can see it...? this is what I posted.... "I just had the most amazing message from one of my photography heroes a photographer called Glyn Dewis. I'm sure a lot of you have heard of him, He is a very well known photographer and an instructor for Adobe Photoshop here and in America. He is holding a big exhibition of his work about a project he has done, called the "3945 Portrait Project". This has been a total passion for Glyn, as he has gone around the country doing the most amazing portraits of WW2 veterans. This will be the showcase of the exhibition. With support from the Royal British Legion and The Royal Mint it will be held in Soldiers of Oxfordshire Museum. Out of the blue he messaged me on Facebook and asked if he could send me an invitation to the event. Shocked, stunned and gobsmacked doesn't come close to say the least. I have spoken to Glyn many many times online and have seen many of his videos but I never thought he would do something like this? A no one like me being personally invited by one of my photography heroes to the launch of his exhibition in October is beyond amazing to me. I am still genuinely in shock. Chuffed to bits doesn't come close!"
