  1. Yeah, I know, I'm the only one who rates this shot ... but it meets the criteria.
  2. Have you got your screen ever so slightly zoomed in?
  3. They (Margouleff and Cecil) also provided the synths on those classic 70s Stevie Wonder albums.
  4. Many many apologies for the POTW delay. I've had really bad fatigue the last few days. I've picked out an image from Fuji from the past two days which grabbed my attention and wouldn't let go. Original Thread
  5. Inspired by hearing Jean-Michel Jarre...
  6. So sorry to hear this Polly. I hope it is all resolved sooner rather than later.
  7. Strangely brown for a red-breast! Good shot though.
  8. Wouldn't you think Korky would bother to proofread the name on the packet of his own-brand crisps before releasing them for sale?
  9. Not sure I get that - what's the difference between Sunday and the 7th day?! And why would a fundie care anyway?
  10. I got the music ok, but the screen was black.
  11. Great great picture Brian. It may not count as panning, but it's tremendous all the same.
  12. Just one silver lining not directly linked to your main problem.. CS6 will run fine on any 'modern' computer. It's pretty recent, and despite Adobe's efforts to get us all subscribing, they still pay lip service to the last fully-sold version.
  13. If the JPEGs are the low quality sort you get when you shoot RAW+JPEG, then I feel for you, but hope you can make the best of a bad job. If however, they are standard full quality JPEGs that people get when they opt to shoot JPEGs (and sometimes with RAW too if you made that choice in the menu), then I don't see the problem. You have massive scope for post-processing, but if the JPEG engine in your camera is any good (and most are, these days) then you won't need much, assuming you got more or less correct exposures.
  14. Yes, the next TIPF Big Day Out could be down here in the SW !
  15. The lack of one prevents my camera from being damn near perfect. Actually, I've never had a camera with one, but increasing disability would make it really helpful.
  16. Welcome Trace - perhaps this might be the best time to say I live in Exeter! (Which is in Devon, by the way...)
  17. "Why I never became Lewis Hamilton (or even Nico Rosberg...)" If only they'd had karts like this when I wuz a nipper!
  18. That's odd. 85mm is virtually ideal for portraits - it irons out the last remaining 'wide angle distortion' you get even on a 50mm if you shoot too close to your subject. 50mm is the ultimate general purpose lens with an angle of view closest to the human eye (or so they say), but not the most ideal for facial portraits.
