  1. A couple of days ago I was given a wood carving by a friend - I decided to photograph it and then apply some grunge techniques I've been experimenting with over the last week or so. I'm not fully convinced that it works as an image, but at this stage of the game it'll have to do. Korky Serenity
  2. Enjoy the new kit, chums and remember old Korks the pensioner if you're chuckin' owt out!
  3. A very worthy winner - well done, Bill. Korky
  4. Another fine batch of images - a great big dollop of kudos to Hatter for his rather nifty bit of mono processing. The kudos is on its way via Parcel Force's Extra-Double Speedy Service, so expect delivery sometime in November. Onwards! Korky
  5. Now back from my little sojourn to foreign parts and my photo should appear before the deadline. Anyone else? Or have you all sold your cameras? Korky
  6. Really made my Tuesday seeing this - Thanks everyone! Korky
  7. Just thought I'd drop in to post a shot taken by Mrs K as we waited for our bus this morning. Kaprun church with the Kitzsteinhorn in the background. Korky
  8. I'm not very good at this sort of thing, Fooj - so I'll just join in with the good wishes already sent by David and Polly. Korky
  9. Had to be a quick and dirty this week, so...... A bit of tree bark, some dead flower heads and a small dollop of Topaz Studio. Kork A Bit More Wabi Sabi
  10. Must be my innocence - or maybe the fact that I was brought up by wolves - but I've only just figured out what it is. Korky
  11. And Dee dashes in just as the drawbridge was being pulled up. Love the bee shot, but you get deducted 10 Kudos Points for being late! Anyone seen Brian? Has he become a monk? Korky
  12. This is Popeye Village in Malta - it was built as the set for the Robin Williams movie 'Popeye' and once filming was complete it was opened as a tourist attraction. Although not my kind of place to visit, it certainly looked good in the late afternoon sunlight. Taken on our last visit to Malta in 2012. Korky Popeye Village, Malta
  13. And another week draws to a close with just the old stagers still in the game. Please stay with us, it gets really exciting from Week 37! Some top shots this week - and five completely different ones, too. A deffo dollop of Kudos to Cheryl for 'Old John's Kelpie' - that shot says so much about John and his dog and the kind of life they lead. Love it. Korky
  14. Congrats, JHF - Very well done! Korky
  15. Just browsing for a pic for this week's challenge and I came across this shot taken in Madeira earlier this year. In case you're wondering, it's an IKEA flat pack fishing boat. Korky
  16. This week's theme is 'ON HOLIDAY'. Summer, Bank, Christmas, Camping, Walking, Cruising, Climbing or just lazing by the pool - As long as your photo was taken on a holiday of some kind, it qualifies. Please tell us where it was taken - and an afternoon spent snoozing in the back garden won't wash btw! Old or new photos are OK and they must be submitted by close of play next Friday (31st August). We'll then have a vote to determine the winner. Korky
  17. On the left some old books, on the right an old, rough glass jar with some dying irises. Do I know what's in the middle? Afraid not! Korky Imperfect, Impermanent & Incomplete
