  1. Now that’s an unusual image. Great title. A jigsaw puzzle?
  2. Old quarry, Mt Hope. Mt Hope is the closest "mountain" to us. Its granite and was quarried back in the day by the Mawson family. Fortunately the enterprise was stopped mid 20th century before there was no mountain left.
  3. The topic for this week’s challenge is Found Objects. In my mind this is a sub -category of still life where the subject/s have been found or discovered but it is open to your unique interpretation. New Images or one from your archives to be posted before Friday 24 August (UK time).
  4. Some sort of two on one communication going on here.
  5. The flower seller at Flinders St Station in Melbourne was selling these flowers. They appeared to be real. No idea.
  6. A challenging time for you and David, Dierdre.
  7. Beautiful place: I’m in love with it and I’ve never been there.
  8. Solar panels, White Cliffs, NSW, taken with my old Nikon D70s.
  9. Agreed about the octopus shot. I did a double take when I saw them.
  10. Straw Necked Ibis roosting for the night.
  11. Thank you for the compliments, Korky and Polly. I really appreciate it when someone takes the time to write what they think of a photo and am thrilled that you, Polly, understand what I was trying to do this one. I was thinking of adding some texture to see how it looks. Stay tuned.
  12. I forgot about the straight out of camera theme till just now. If I'd remembered I would have taken some different photos instead of birds which I'd usually do more post-processing. As it was I cropped this one of a black-shouldered kite.
  13. I’m considering getting my Nikon D70s converted to infrared. I’ve been quoted $500 AU to get it done in Melbourne. They have asked whether I want a 720 NM (near infrared) or a 850 NM filter (deep black). Does anyone have experience with either?
  14. TerrickTerrick National Park near home. Brian and I met there for a photo session.
  15. Thank you Korky. I love the colours in your fuschias. It would make a lovely greeting card.
  16. Minus 3 this morning. Fingers froze as I took this one in the frost.
  17. Hi everyone, I struck an error uploading week 3 photo earlier today - my ole friend error 200 - so will have another go in week 4.
  18. Thank you very much for the kudos, Korky! Love Qantas.
