  1. Sorry but I was on holidays without a computer so didn’t post at all. I’ll be back this week.
  2. I love the intensity of expression on the face of the front character and the orange and blue colours. Great photo.
  3. Thank you very much, Polly. It’s always such a thrill to win POTW and a bit of a surprise to win with this photo of a door.
  4. After owning two Nikon cropped sensor cameras, I’ve upgraded to a Nikon 850 full frame camera and looking to buy another lens for it for landscape and general photography. I’m considering the Sigma Art series 24-70 f2.8 & wondering if anyone has any advice about this lens or alternatives.
  5. Steam Up. The J549 Maldon - Castlemaine train our photography group went on this week.
  6. Last week, I missed the high key challenge so had a go this week. I enjoy this sort of project as it stretches me to try things I wouldn't normally. This was my grandmother's talcum powder handed down to me from my mother. The bottle contains the original talc which is far softer than modern powder. No idea why.
  7. I abandoned the previous post cos I couldn't get the image to upload. This started as a water colour I did years ago when I dabbled in the medium. I took a photo of it, added a filter, fiddled with the levels. A bit of experimentation for the Art theme.
  8. Thanks for the “out” clause on the theme, Ryewolf. High key wasn’t doable this week but I’ll make it for it next week.
  9. This street artist attracted a large crowd in one of Melbourne lanes.
  10. I like the simplicity of this photo. Lovely.
  11. Little Black Cormorants were among the many water birds hanging around the lagoon today. Next weekend they will scatter as the annual duck shooting season commences. Not my favourite time of year.
  12. A beautiful image, congrats from me, Black Pearl.
  13. Calves let into the green paddock at sunset when all is hot and dry.
  14. Gunbower Creek in Summer with Cecil the Blue Heeler.
  15. Sorry everyone, i couldn’t get my act together this week but will be back next week.
  16. Thank you, Rye wolf. It’s a whole new world to me.
