  1. I'll be shooting it with my trusty Minolta X-500 (the only decent 35mm I've got), and developing my own. I got through about 2/3 of a film today along the river. While I won't really know until I see the results, shooting 80ISO feels a lot more comfortable than 50 (Pan-F+), and much more like using FP4+ (125). I just hope the results are up to expectations.
  2. No not a letter from the Mikado. But four rolls of Ferrania P30 pre-ordered many months ago. Just hope there will be enough light to try it tomorrow.
  3. This article about Minolta's lens design philosophy may be of interest to some of the vintage lens enthusiasts here: http://www.dyxum.com/columns/other/Historical_perspective_Minolta_lens_design_philosophy.asp I saw it via a comment on the Minolta Manual Focus Flickr Group.
  4. This week's challenge. Anything relating to the number six. Usual rules, any photo old or new, to be submitted by midnight Friday July 7th, voting until Friday 14th.
  5. Found these while looking for the hummingbirds feeding after dark. Early Morning Aug 2009 Afternoon, Jul 2012
  6. The Manger & the Giant's Stair (Uffington) (I assume the Manger is where the white horse feeds).
  7. A real-life drama, I'd been wondering what to do with this series which has plenty of story but many technical issues. The Target is acquired The interception begins Dog fight 1 Dog fight 2 The intruder departs Homecoming
  8. Might be worth trying an independent repairer, I had my Minolta fixed by Dave Boyle at http://www.camerarepairworkshop.co.uk -- he does also do digital cameras, but is closed for refurbishment until May.
  9. Cascades du Hérisson Hope this isn't cheating (too much), a real negative from 2002, and manipulations.
  10. There's an article about urban peregrines in the Guardian from a day or two back: https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2017/mar/14/peregrine-falcons-urban-london-success-story mainly focussing on the pair at Battersea.
