  1. Love the apparent simplicity of this shot and the D O F really helps the separation and consequently makes the Curlew really stand out! Well crafted shot Mik ... I really like this .
  2. A lovely part of Wales Love the larches showing off their Autumn wardrobe ...Impressive falls and nicely composed Apatchy

  5. It looks like it's conducting an orchestra .... maybe playing " Swan lake !" Sorry ... that really was awful ! Maybe this pic should be called "the Conductor " too ( having just seen this one that you have posted as well ) https://www.tipf.co.uk/forums/topic/60085-the-conductor/

  7. Lovely crisp detail on her head ... pity that dratted shadow was right across it as the twigs of the nest nicely framed it ...
  8. How did you get that angle Mik ....were you up a ladder at the time ? The perspective looks like you were directly opposite at the same height !

  10. I have no idea why that has happened Mik though I have rarely used "stacking "as a method of improving the image sharpness and reducing noise. It seems to be most prevalent or at least more obvious on the top half of the image where the background is a lighter colour behind the flowers ... Sorry I cant help there .....
  11. It sums up the weather lately James doesn't it ... in a word ...WET!
  12. So aptly named aren't they ....after the beluga whale ... great shots both of you ...

  15. Not at all .... The date doesn't really matter too much .... a lovely beady eye caught on that first head shot Apatchy !

  19. They are such beautiful trees when given the space just to "Show off" their strength, their endurance and an almost spiritual aura that makes them such a National iconic symbol . Looks great in mono too Mik .
  20. Commenting on other peoples pics is just as important John so please don't worry about not posting new pics at the moment ... I hope all went well yesterday ... it's so often a gateway into another chapter of one's life saying a final goodbye but I hope you find your mojo for your photography again as you have always shown a talent for it especially your butterfly images .. We are always happy to chat on the Forum about most things ....except politics and religion ....
  21. Aw Ryland I am so pleased to read your news ... you have had a tough few years I know and it is great that you have a lady in your life again ...Congratulations on your engagement too...she looks a lovely kind soul with a sense of fun ... I hope she posts some photos too ...

We have had so few members posting in the last few months , it is causing us some concern on the Forum so it is good to see you back and with a super set of landscapes . As Kerry says .... Lovely light! I have had a number of issues that has prevented me from spending the amount of time on here that I usually do over the past 3 months as have a few other members. ....so it's good to see you again recently Monkey ...
