  1. The winning side got to write the history books.
  2. Keep them coming FUJI. Its great to see your skills.
  3. Taken 10 minutes ago! Just stepped onto the driveway and lifted the bonnet.............
  4. I agree about the impact of photography Polly. You know I have an interest in the Napoleonic era. When I found this link I was amazed. It really brings things from 1815 to life for me. I think I shared in the past that I discovered an ancestor who was present at Waterloo. He was a 15 year old drummer boy. And now I see images of men that would have been within a mile or two of the boy at the foot of Mont St Jean, Waterloo.
  5. I found this link which contains images I am quite captivated by. Napoleon died on 5 May 1821 and each year following veterans of the Grande Armée would pay their respects. It is thought that the photos in this link were taken at one of these events in 1858. These are men of the Grande Armée who fought and survived at Waterloo, photographed some 40 years after the battle well in the 70's and 80's. These are thought to be the only photographs of Waterloo veterans. https://mashable.com/2014/10/27/napoleonic-wars-veterans/#bxZhoe1rsEqw
  6. Wow FUJI. They are lovely. How long do they take you to complete?
  7. My fault Rye. I probably should have let you know.
  8. For my turn to pick this weeks image I have opted for this shot by FUJI. I think Colin hit the nail on the head with a comment that the shot has "a good curiosity factor". The guy is certainly caught well in the doorway. I can't help feeling sorry for him labouring up the stairs with what looks like a heavy laden bike. The image has a nice gritty feel and suits mono. A really nice shot for me with that grainy shadow on the wall. I am curious about where he has been with those panniers on the back? The original thread can be found here.
  9. Well it looks like tie break again. But cmunzel popped a late vote in so strictly this one is Rye's win. Over to Ryewolf. Good one!

I tried that Phil. No success. I suspect it may be the sd card as it’s only a slow one. Will look at the manual later.

Having seen some really nice short video's of the NE coast posted by BP I decided to get Adobe Premiere Elements and take a dive into video. My plan came to a quick halt today when I found out I did not even know how to shoot a "movie" on either the X T2 or 7d. So its back to the instruction book. Any tips?
  15. Good to hear from you Matt but I have no clue about iPad tethering.
  16. Some things are just mad. What a waste of resources.
  17. There is some peeling paint on some of them huts.
  18. Well I have PS Elements and Premiere Elements all loaded now. It seems very capable so quite pleased. It should compliment Topaz nicely. That’s precisely why I got Premiere SR. Going to have a dabble with video editing now when I get the chance.
