Men at work

Spent ages watching these guys, from ground level they reminded me of Lego men. Must have been flipping freezing up there. They are working on the old historic building in Bury St Edmunds that was gutted by fire a year or so ago, but my question is why is the scaffolding so much higher than the roof?

nice image and the reason that the scaffolding is so high is so they have room to hoist beams up onto the roof and swing them into place

Thank you Richard...it has been bugging me as to why the scaffolding had to be so much higher than the building..now I know.

Phil, I think you are right...I am sure it had a cover over it a few weeks ago..so maybe they are removing the scaffolding!

Thanks for all your nice comments.

I never colour popped Paul...not clever enough. The camera was on RAW, don't know if that would have made a difference with to the colour against such a grey sky?

Not all popping works, but it does here.   :)

Paul.

I'm not sure any colour popping has been done but I do think the lack of sky has made this an exceptional stand-out shot.

Annie have you looked to see if the scaffolding company has a Facebook or google page? This sort of photo would look great on a company web page.
