The tree in the first one looks as if it has arms and two protruding eyes at shoulder level, mind you I have been reading illustrated books to great grand daughter lately.

 

Nice images though Phon.

I saw it too.

Sometimes you don't notice things like this yuntil you view the shot on screen.

A good set with the second being my choice as best.

There is nothing quite like the Grandeur of a Decidious Tree set against the light in winter, because they clearly illustrate the growing forces of nature.

Chris.......the only lone tree/s I don't like are those over-photographed single hawthorn trees on the limestone pavement Oop ' North......they are such Cliches .....all are surrounded by tripod holes four feet deep.

Thank you very much. Trees do make lovely subjects, indeed.

I am pleased with the outcome and it has a lot to do with the advice from you lot.

I've got a lot to learn still but it's been really constructive being a member of the forum so thank you all for that.

(Yes, I know that's a bit cheesy, but there you are!)
