Here is one from a good day at Duxford - shot at 1/40 @ 400mm

When the weather is a bit dull or if I have a good shots already of a particular aircraft, I like to have a bit of low shutter speed fun. Sometimes you get quite nice results. This was part of a B&W set I did of the show and whilst not pin sharp - I think that adds to the effect. What do you think?

What I know about aircraft, probably isn't worth knowing. But I couldn't help but have a peek at your other images. Great stuff, even to the uneducated.

But here's a bit of trivia...............What reminded me was the tailplane of the Luftwaffe aircraft in one of your pictures.

After the war had ended there was an exhibition of captured enemy weaponry in Leicester (or maybe Trafalgar) Square. My Dad to us kids along and there was a Me109 there. I can remember it as if it was yesterday, a soldier picked me up and was going to pass me up to have a sit in it. I screamed my head off, so missed out on the chance of a lifetime. The story of my life!

Just looked at your flickr link..... stuff the Mustangs...the Gladiators are gorgeous :)

They do look rather nice flown as a pair - wonderful formation work on the day :)

Bad luck about missing the chance to sit in the 109! That would have been quite an experience.

Thanks for the kind comments both.
