Dentdale, the village od Dent & Dent Railway Station (No Bugs!)

Recommended Posts

Dentdale, North Yorkshire, and the village of Dent & the Dent Railway - the highest main line station in England, at 1150 feet above sea level. And it's at the top of bloody steep hill...

As you will like as not worked out, I rarely do landscapes so this is something to whet your appetite for later on...

And not a bug in sight...  :)

I would give no.1 and the village scenes a b/w or sepia convert to see how it worked, also to give it an olde worlde type shot, also I would try to clone out the modern cars on the middle r/h side & what looks like a yellow grit bin. maybe try to loose the wires between the platform and rails.

overall I like these, thinks you done a canny job.

I have been to Dent and I think it's there where I set off for a walk to High Cup Nick (but i always get there and another village mixed up, though their names and nothing alike). Its a lovely traditional village and you have captured the ambiance perfectly. I too wopuld like to see a B&W version, but just cos I love B&W and think these would work well. However they are beautiful in colour too.
