Met a friend for coffee just before NYE, and while we were out we had a wander round the city centre. I'd just got the Fuji XF 35mm F1.4, so I was keen to try it out. Lovely lens!

(and yes, it still feels weird referring to Southend as a city!)

Interesting set.  Whenever I think of Southend the letters SS2 6AL come to mind.  My first job in the Civil Service was sending off the daily statistics, so I wrote an envelope to 27 Victoria Avenue Southend on Sea, Essex,  SS2 6AL every day for a year and its ingrained in my mind even today!
