A NEW TOY!

 First off ……..A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL AT TIPF.!

This is a portrait of a pro photographer friend of mine, about to demonstrate his new Leica INSTAX , camera, it produces small, instant prints, on chemical impregnated cards, which are sold in packs. It was fascinating to see the camera, do its stuff, but it isn’t for me. 
‘My friend will use it as part of his family portrait , business.

Apparently Fuji co-operated with Leica in the design and manufacture of these INSTAX camera’s the FUJI version is identical, except it produces Fujifilm colours, the Zleica colours are different.

This portrait was shot with my , recently acquired 8 year old Leica Q camera…. a camera with oodles of punch despite being the first in the range, Leica are up to the Q3 now, a very expensive toy… 

My Q , hasn’t the larger  sensor, or waterproofing of the later models, but it does have exactly the same, incredible 2.8 lens…which, if purchased separately for a M10 would cost as much as a Leica camera…crazy prices. 
 

An update, on my health and wellbeing, sadly my wife’s dementia is worsening, so, I now shop and cook for three…. My heart faliure is under control, but my chronic Kidney Disease is worsening. So I’ve put myself on a , kidney friendly diet, which is very challenging; my next blood test will , reveal whether I’ve managed to improve things.

My mobility is restricted to a mobility scooter, so I’m seeing the world from much lower down. 
 

I am still, painting and Woodturning, in between photography and chores…
