Confetti Fields

Recommended Posts

There is something quite magical  about seeing field full of flowers.... Such a great idea to use natural petals as confetti  when so may churches were banning the use of the traditional  paper confetti. Mind  you I suspect  that the really original confetti in the days before  paper  stuff was manufactured , was probably real flower petals   anyway !  Such an innovative way of diversifying the traditional farming role  and  now ,  25 years after starting  a company to do that  it seems   this company  near Pershore ,  provides  confetti  for weddings all around the world . Some  lovely photos capturing this spectacle Strav...  Look forward to the shots  of the  Lavender  fields ... It's been a few years since I took the camera  to shoot  them and found my self taking almost as many shots of Japanese  Brides  and  Grooms  who wanted the   the  fields of lavender as a backdrop to their wedding photos  .  The last  pic is my favourite Strav... very nice set .....

Great shot Strav, glad you could get out there the hordes of "influencers" descended on the place like locusts.

Forgive my ignorance, but why would they be doing that?  Just for colourful images of themselves for social media?

Exactly for that reason. There was an article about it on the BBC News Website, according to them 8000 people turned over the weekend

At Pershore? Wow, although that doesnt surprise me as it was extremely busy.  Clever business.  Grow the flowers to sell the confetti and charge people to come in and watch it grow!

Yes it was at Pershore, people were travelling from as far as india and China to view the fields, which are only open for 10 days

Yes I did notice quite a few Japanese people there - much the same in the Lavender Fields
