What  was it originally used for storing Cheryl ... Grain ? Sugar ? It always  seems a little sad seeing  relics of our past almost becoming bleached skeletons  of time gone  by ... There is a whole genre of photography that encapsulates abandoned and derelict   industrial  sites and can make fascinating images as well as  a record   of  the industrial revolution through the ages .   Did you take any other pics of this ?

btw ... it appears you duplicated this post so I took the liberty of deleting the  other one before anyone else posted  on it ....😉

Needs a little more punch for me, I really enjoy B&W and do still use film and really push it, the birds in the image read really well, take your eye into the image, would definitely have a re-work with this, as getting the image to deepen in contrast would make it pop out, 

 

Had a quick go, hope you don't mind

A very interesting shot Cheryl. A number of years back I photographed an old mill near Pendle Hill, sadly it's no longer there and has been demolished and replaced with houses. So it's worthwhile to photograph places like this before they disappear.
