Whistle Down The Wind - Downham Village

Paul

Recommended Posts

This is Downham Village in Lancashire, on a very blustery day today (March 22nd) - you can see the flowers and even clothing on washing lines being harried by the wind - where the famous movie "Whistle Down The Wind" was for the most part set in.

Film Synopsis: When an injured wife murderer takes refuge on a remote Lancashire farm, the owner's three children mistakenly believe him to be the Second Coming of Christ.

Malcolm Arnold: Whistle Down the Wind (1961) Main Theme. [Norrie Paramor-Midland Radio Orchestra].

Your editing skills are improving all the time Paul and the continuity  work is really seamless ... what a GREAT  prize  this was in winning a drone  and you have taken to it like a duck to water !

Thanks Polly  :)

The drone is easy to fly really - something many of us would manage to do with a just a bit of practice. The editing takes a bit more time though.

I bought a drone for other half a week or so ago .... Hoping  to try it out once he has mastered the controls... It was only a couple of hundred  pound so not a really expensive  item  but if it looks like  it 's something we  might like to do with better equipment  at least I wont feel so bad crashing  this one while learning how to control it first.😉

I was surprised at the number of cars going through the village - I thought it might have been quieter...

Yes, it's the quick way to get from Burnley, Nelson and Colne to Clitheroe and Whalley and vice versa.
