Another Beady eye .......

Recommended Posts

I have only managed half a dozen photos of this Merlin as it moves like greased lightening so when it landed in the magnolia  tree a while ago  I was even more frustrated that it sat there for 15 minutes without moving position and I only once caught  it with both eyes visible    and then  the focus was iffy!

This was one image that  had him staring at me through the Kitchen window  ....with just  one beady eye visible so,  until I am lucky enough to see him again I  am going to have make do with this ,  still not quite the focus I wanted  but ........that's life ....and he is such a beautiful bird .

They are really hard to catch on camera as they  are a bit like Peregrines ... really fast and we are just lucky to have one land twice in the garden though I have seen it whizz by and take a small robin  or  a sparrow  a few times ... just a  flash of blue grey  and it's gone !!
