The terrified victim!

Recommended Posts

I went out again tonight and found the false widow spider still showing well - and this time I used the EVF to try and frame him.

The eyes were not quite sharp enough really for me, but the shooting conditions were challenging -11pm at night and therefore completely dark...

Tonight though - he has some supper - and I think his victim looks absolutely terrified!

Great set Paul as usual, and a new camera.....

Gill's mum passed away and this was her "gift" to me as a small part of her kindness. Gift cards for a new camera (she knew mine was a 2013 model and often wondered why I never had something newer) and I had an envelope with the message "get a new camera". She wouldn't have known how expensive a new camera would be, (I have loved a 90D but it was too expensive) so this was the next best thing.

I've never used WEX before, but I would recommend them if you don't have the option for shopping locally.

I did think about getting the 100mm macro lens, but it seemed contrary to her wishes, so a body it was to be. It's hard to use though after a DSLR Geoff.

The 60mm only works via an adapter - but it still seems to give decent results.

It always was a good option for an upgrade but as you point out Canon seem to be moving away from the old style bodies.

This R10 is a cheap entry level one but it seems very complicated to be honest and might take me until summer to understand it!

It's very light though and that helps as we get to our age!
