A Legacy - and a noble widow

Recommended Posts

My mum-in-law passed away recently, and as a legacy left me gift cards and the message to get a new camera (not a lens) so I managed to trade in my 70D for a mirrorless R10.

It's small, light, and difficult to come to terms with after having used a DSLR for so many years but thanks to her I have a camera more suited to my age for carrying around. The Venus lens fits via an adapter (thanks still to Geoff - my hero!) so I can hopefully still achieve good results.

So I obviously I looked for something worthwhile for testing and found the most amazing of dangerous of subjects (he says, not meaning that of course - they are not as bad as many try to make out)...

Thanks Polly.

Looks like my contact in LAOWA is responding in kind and sending the 85mm little lens sample.

When it arrives I will use it but keep the 60from Geoff in the camera bag anyway (unless Geoff takes it back).

We'll see in the next few weeks :)

Paul.
